Between the 9th and the 13th of January, the group of ESRs of the NoNoMeCat ITN was in Leuven to take part in a workshop organized here. NoNoMeCat is an European Project to which one of our group members (Andrea) belongs. The ITN brings together academic and industrial researchers from 7 countries to form a consortium with complementary skills. The project has provided funding to enrol 13 early-stage researchers to prepare a PhD with projects covering experimental and theoretical aspects of non-noble metal catalysis chemistry. During the week, the main part of the workshop was about Computational Chemistry. The aim was to teach the basics of this field to the ESRs that have an experimental background.
We are very happy to have received their visit, we made the most to obtain a good result!
